Capstone Design: Sample Project
Descriptions
Dept. of Computer Science Northern Arizona University |
An effective project description is a crucial cornerstone of the Capstone Design Process, ensuring that students understand the overall nature of the project, and have the skills and motivation necessary to succeed. To help sponsors develop robust descriptions, I have begun collecting model project descriptions on this page to serve as give some guidance in creating solid project descriptions.
Please keep in mind that there is no single ideal format for project descriptions; what constitutes an "adequate" description depends on the nature of the specific project. In general, a good project description should provide a balance of background information, company information, and project detail.
