Grand Canyon High School Retaining Wall Redesign

Grand Canyon High School (GCHS) has a retaining wall that is in a state of failure. The wall is constructed out of railroad ties and is failing due to excessive moisture. Our capstone team has been requested to create a new design for this wall that will function for years to come and adhere to all codes and regulations that are necessary for design. These regulations pertain to construction codes as well as historical preservation policies that are required for the area.
