Project Description

The goal of this project is to design an automated visual catheter balloon inspection device that can measure all balloon sizes ranging from 1.25mm to 50 mm in diameter, measure all outer balloon dimensions, measure size of visual defects (“Gel Spots”, ”Fish eyes”, ”Crows Feet”). Our device must also have complete viewing capbillities ( longitudinal movement and roational movement for balloon or camera), and inflation for inspection (Equipment must be able to withstand 40 ATM of internal pressure).
