About Crater Stats
The Crater Stats project is a Graphic User Interface is an application that processes statistic data relevant to astrogeological formations caused by meteoroids impacting upon celestial bodies. This information is critical for space exploration as the statistics are used for finding optimal landing sites on said bodies. Along with knowledge of location, crater statistics provide a variety of data such as the age of a celestial body and the composition of it's surfaces whether it is a moon or a planet. The application's development is critical for providing visualization and readability for astrogeologicalcalculations and plots. The Crater Stats GUI will provide ease of access information to the command line program that performs the actual computation. The Crater Stats project is still inearly form with pre-alpha development occuring. Up to now our plan is to base the application in the python language and develop a windowed application with options for customized modification to statistical data.
