Conscious Cultivation

Aquaponics Project

Project Description

Conscious Cultivation will provide NAU volunteer clubs with a carbon neutral aquaponics system that will grow aquatic life and plants sustainably. This system will be built, operated, and demonstrated perennially in the NAU CECMEE Field Station farm. Conscious Cultivation will also provide the NAU Engineering Department with a sustainable greenhouse that will be built at the CECMEE Field Station. The purpose of this project is to provide NAU volunteer clubs with an aquaponics system to use as a demonstration piece to educate the NAU community and to help these clubs recruit members from diverse backgrounds around campus.
